  1. LDU is amazing and super friendly at all locations, and they have the best breakfast sandwich in town imo. Cultivar is an old standby, serious vibe but the coffee is always done right. Merit is also great.

  2. La Reunion is a cool spot in Bishop Arts plus there’s plenty to do afterwards right in the same vicinity if the date goes well and you both want to continue it. There’s also White Rhino Coffee in BA which has some tasty coffee options though it’s a bit more of a modern, clean aesthetic as opposed to the unique, more-upscale feel of La Reunion.

  3. The hands down best coffee I’ve had in Dallas is Peridot. It’s in the Korean district off Royal and 35. The man that owns and operates it is absolutely the nicest guy possible. And the coffee is seriously so good. Always the best temp, perfect balance of flavors, and all around amazing. Close second would be Merit off Preston and Wycliff. Their beans are always super fresh, and even though they’re a chain, they always offer top notch quality. For atmosphere, I would recommend Union. It’s behind the Methodist church on the corner of Oak Lawn and Cedar springs.
